A University Certified Program

Helping Singers become better Singing Teachers!

WHAT IS VOCAL EDUCATOR COURSE (VEC)?
Vocal Educator Course is a course specially designed for singing teachers in India. It seeks to bridge the gap between the singer-singing teacher and to provide a professional development pathway for those singers who want to transition to a teaching career.

The course will give a foundational understanding of human physiology related to singing, overview of voice techniques applicable for both contemporary and classical singers, general pedagogical knowledge and applied subjects like piano for singers, music theory and vocal ensemble. The highlight of this course is the mentor-mentee relationship enabling the learners to learn from the experience and the expertise of the mentor.

This course is designed to benefit both the novice and experienced singing teachers. A novice singing teacher may benefit from the course by acquiring uptodate knowledge about the pedagogy of teaching singing and may be better prepared to start their teaching journey. It will also provide them with guidance, mentorship and peers to walk alongside them in their voice teaching journey. An experienced singing teacher might also benefit as this course could be added to their professional development program.

Vocal Educator Course will offered by the staff at MuzicEDU, and is accredited by our academic partner the North East Christian University, an UGC recognized university. The certification will be offered by the University after successful completion.

TESTIMONIAL

“Serene has been my friend and mentor especially in my career as a music educator. She has been instrumental in shaping me into becoming a holistic teacher who thinks what is best for my students. Our discussions on goal setting, repertoire list, pedagogical approach in solving issues (musical techniques, moral or emotional issues) with students has been truly effective. She created a relationship where I could take my problems to her and speak my mind clearly without judgement, and bring out a plan set for my own students. She is an inspirational, personal and trustworthy mentor” – Chris Vivian, Singing Teacher.

“Being mentored by Mrs. Serene as a voice teacher has been one of the most transformative parts of my journey. Having someone who not only teaches but walks alongside with such clarity, conviction, and heart has shaped the way I now lead and teach. Mrs. Serene has helped me see voice not just as a skill but as a subject—rich, deep, and worthy of study. Her insights, practical tools, and constant encouragement gave me the confidence to grow as a vocal educator and to serve my students with greater purpose and excellence” – Grace MacDonald, Singing Teacher.
